Old Growth Giant Sequoia slabs 1-10 (April 18 2019)

All are 3" thick and 10 feet long. Salvaged standing dead old growth giant sequoia redwood from private land in California. 572 years old, and that is 80 feet off the ground, so the tree is most likely around 650 years old. The figure in these slabs is quite interesting. Instead of the curl being perpendicular to the length, it is parallel to the length. The pictures don't show it very well, but the last picture I think shows it the most as a close up. Slab #4 and #5 also show the figure because of the sun and the view angle. This tree was struck by lightening about 100 years ago and has been standing dead since then.
